Annual Appeal

December, 2010

Greetings! Once again we had a very busy year in 2010. Our fundraising events enabled us to make considerable donations to our targeted causes this year. Our sincere thanks to those who participated in any of our events and/or responded to our Annual Appeal last December with your kind donations. Both your time and financial contributions are greatly appreciated.

Enabled by your generosity, the FSSP Foundation continued its mission to help feed the hungry in our community with sizeable donations to the Walnut Hills, Over-the-Rhine, St. Francis Seraph, and Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchens. In addition, we were able to provide valuable financial support to the Ulster Project and the Little Sisters of the Poor.

In 2010, we partnered with 3CDC to resurrect the Cincinnati Celtic Festival, this year on Fountain Square. The FSSP Foundation and 3CDC signed a multi-year agreement that fully commits to the continuation and sustainability of the Festival for years to come.

The FSSP Foundation also provided financial and volunteer support to the renovation of the old McKinley School and the launch of the Cincinnati Irish Heritage Center. This labor of love founded by Kent Covey and Maureen Kennedy complements the FSSP Foundation’s mission to promote and preserve Irish culture and heritage in our community.

For those still considering a donation to various charitable causes at year-end, please keep the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Foundation in mind.

We give recognition to all contributors at any level, but welcome those who can and are willing to make more substantial gifts. Please consider joining one of our most revered giving levels:

The 1868 St. Patrick’s Society – gifts greater than $10,000

The Supporters of the Celtic Cross – gifts greater than $5,000

The Four Green Fields Circle – gifts greater than $1,000

The Shamrock Club – gifts of $500 or more

Thank you for your support!
